Clarence Edward “C. E.” Fenno, 85, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery with Zeb Sailors, Church of Christ minister and family friend, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Fenno was born Sept. 6, 1927 in Perryton to Ernest G. and Esther Fenno. He was raised in the Sunray-Borger area. After serving in the U. S. Army Air Force from 1945-1948, he moved to Lefors. C. E. married Lefors native, Jo Ann Wall, on Dec. 17, 1950. She preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2009. Through the years, C. E. was a dedicated employee for Lewis Supply, Columbia Carbon, The Electric Supply, Cabot Corporation, Ingersoll-Rand, and Titan Specialties, Inc. C.E. was certainly a “journeyman” in vocation—a skilled mechanic, welder, and electrician. C. E. was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a son, Dr. Wyatt Fenno and wife Thu of Lubbock; three precious grandchildren, Taylor Fenno of Simi Valley, CA, Timothy Fenno of Lubbock, and Tiana Fenno of Denton; two sisters, Ruth Tucker and Betty Roark, both of Albuquerque, NM; a brother-in-law, Frank Wall of Amarillo; and a sister-in-law, Paula Wall Lowrie of Clarendon. C. E. is also survived by a number of relatives from the Fenno, Sweigart, and Wall families. The Fenno family extends “thanks” to the staff at Coronado Healthcare Center in Pampa for the kind and responsible care they gave C. E. over the past six months. We also want to thank Jack Thompson and Brad Pingel for being special friends to Mr. Fenno. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM Monday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
