Frank Jones Lee, MD, 92, of Wichita Falls, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, in Wichita Falls. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls with Rev. John Dillard, and Rev. Paul Goodrich, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Dr. Lee was born on May 21, 1920 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Dr. Q.B. Lee and Genevieve Thompson Lee. He was a graduate of Kemper Military Academy of Booneville, Missouri. He attended the University of Texas and graduated from Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1942 with a B.S. in chemistry. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II, and was honorably discharged as a Captain, receiving a Bronze Star with Cluster. Frank married Mary Ann Andrews on October 20, 1945 in Santa Ana, California, and they were married 67 years. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1950, and served his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and his residency at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Dr. Lee practiced obstetrics and gynecology at the Wichita Falls Clinic until his retirement in 1987. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls. He was a member and past president of the Wichita County Medical Society, past president of the Rotary Club, and active in many civic and medical organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betsy Cantey; a brother, Dr. James T. Lee; and his brothers-in-law, Sam Cantey, III, and Kent Graybeal. Dr. Lee is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Lee; two daughters, Genny Harris and husband Ron of Arlington, and Sara Carmichael and husband Doug of Pampa; a son, Nathan Lee of Palos Verdes Estates, California; his sister, Mary Ann Graybeal of Marion, Virginia; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lee of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren, Sara Mayo and husband Paul of Arlington, Parker Frost and wife Lisa of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ann Carmichael of Washington, D.C., Lee Evans and husband Will of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Betsy and Quincy Lee of Palos Verdes Estates, California; four great-grandchildren, Shelby and Parker Mayo of Arlington, and Davis and Sophie Frost of Knoxville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Sam Cantey, IV and wife Sara of Fort Worth.
