Jessie Overton Gercken

Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Mike Watson, pastor of Hobart Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Gercken was born Aug. 10, 1930 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Cecil and Emma Lou Smith Overton. She was a 1949 graduate of Yukon High School in Yukon, Oklahoma. She married Paul E. Gercken on Jan. 8, 1950 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Jessie had been a resident of Pampa since 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of Hobart Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Gercken, of Amarillo; two daughters: Cheryl Yeager of Canyon and Becky Watson and husband Randy of Pampa; two sons: Doyle Gercken of Dallas and Tommy Gercken of Pampa; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a son-in-law, Rusty Yeager, and by a daughter-in-law, Iris Lee Gercken.Memorials may be made to Pampa Meals on Wheels, 302 E.
