Services will be at 3:30 PM Friday, September 28, 2012, at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating.Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Boyd was born August 24, 1937 in Borger to Samuel Tyne and Floy Lou Morgan. She married Deano Boyd on August 31, 1954 in Clayton, New Mexico. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1967. Patty was a member of Briarwood Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sitting with the elderly. Patty was known as the popcorn ball and balloon lady at Halloween. She will be remembered and missed by her family for her "Grandma Christmas Eve" she held at her home every year. Survivors include her husband: Deano Boyd of the home; a son: Danny Boyd of Pampa; 2 daughters: Belinda Martin and husband Darrel and Samantha Aikin and husband Ricky, all of Pampa; 2 sisters: Katy Roe and Betty Kitchens, both of Pampa; 11 grandchildren: David Doucette, Jeremy Doucette, Chris Doucette, Michelle Weatherly, Jacob Boyd, Phillip Watkins, Stormie Blain, Brittany Boyd, Kendall Aikin, Kinley Aikin and Reece Aikin, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son: Perry Dean Boyd in 1955; a son: Timothy Boyd in 2003; a daughter: Pam Chamberlain in 2007; a sister and a brother.
