Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.Burial will be at 4:00 PM in Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, with military honors courtesy U. S. Navy. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Rose was born December 6, 1946 in Hobart, OK, where he graduated high school. He joined the Navy in 1967, right after high school, where he served on the USS Kittyhawk during the Vietnam War. He was an independent scrap contractor for several years before marrying Sue Abbott in 2000. He then became co-owner of Pampa Custom Framing shop. He was a Methodist.Survivors include his brother: Bobby Cox and wife Sandra of Marlow, OK; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Ruth and Richard Abbott of Pampa; his brother-in-law: Doug Abbott and wife Cindy of Pampa; his best friend: Billy Brown of Pampa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Sue Abbott, his sisters: Ann Dutton and Coleen Lemmons, and his brother: Marion Cox.Memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1657, P.O.
