SERVICES: 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Bill Turner of Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors courtesy U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Lee was born April 11, 1917 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II. He married Marjorie Golightly on July 10, 1948 in Clarendon. Lawrence had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. He was a self-employed painting contractor. He was a member of the Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ.SURVIVORS: his wife: Marjorie Lee of the home; a son: Cary Lee of Amarillo; a daughter: Sherrell Scott of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 5 brothers: Paul Lee of Shamrock, Ray Lee and Buck Lee, both of McLean, O. K. Lee, Jr., and James Lee, both of Pampa; 2 sisters: Mable Pletcher and Coleen Franks, both of Pampa; 4 grandchildren: Lisa, Brandon, Kyle and Mark; and 5 great-grandchildren: Ellen, John, Clara, Britten and Brock. Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.MEMORIALS: The Honor Flight, Attn: Diane Gresse, 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, Ohio 45505.
