SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with John Curry, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: John was born February 21, 1946 in Borger to Elmer and Loraine Noel Fite. He was a 1964 graduate of Pampa High School and attended Arizona State University. He had been a resident of San Diego, California for the past 40 years. John started his construction career as a concrete coring and cutting expert and then went on to obtain his general contracting license. He was an active member of the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club for many years. He was a Methodist.SURVIVORS: his sister: Marilyn Brown and husband Paul of Edmond, Oklahoma; 2 nephews: David Brown and partner Mike Walton of Seattle, Washington, and Mark Brown and wife Ivy of Angleton; a niece: Jane Calfy and husband Bryan of Nixa, Missouri; 3 great-nephews: Walker Brown, Garrett Brown and Connor Calfy; and several cousins.
