SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, August 20, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Roger Hubbard, pastor of Lake Tanglewood Community Church of Lake Tanglewood, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Koenig was born May 31, 1919 in Saline County, Arkansas to William Earnest Brown and Annie Pearl Bundt Brown. She was a homemaker and founding member of Bible Church of Pampa. She was a greatest generation proud American, and lived by those values. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Charles Koenig, a son: Ted Koenig; a daughter-in-law: Barbara Koenig; a grandson: Robert Koenig; and 8 brothers and sisters.SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: Charlene Cox of Dallas, Texas, June Stilwell and husband Dan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Carol Strickland and husband Ruben of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial/Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Bldg., P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 300, Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0552, Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch, 600 SW 11th Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79101, or a charity of choice.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
