Fred Palmer, pastor of Carpenter's Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Rhoades was born September 11, 1930 in Topeka, Kansas. She married Dusty Rhoades on March 23, 1949 in Alva, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2011. Norma was a medical secretary for 52 years, working for numerous physicians in Pampa. She played the piano at Carpenter's Church for 10 years. She was a member of Briarwood Church. Norma's life was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and music, and she never met a stranger. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Brenda Miller and husband Walt and Patsy Morris and husband Joe, all of Pampa; a son: Jerry Rhoades and wife Suzy of Pampa; her twin brother: Norman Dean Strasbaugh of California; 8 grandchildren: Dustin Miller and wife Dori, Lindsay Kotara and husband Jarrett, and Tyler Rhoades, all of Pampa, Selena Stout and husband Bryan of Stinnett, Jerren Miller and wife Bri of Canyon, Cory Morris and wife Talana of Forney, Mandy Phillips and husband Kendall, and Amy Townsley and husband Bill, all of Dallas; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friends: Buster and Virginia Grayson.The family extends a special thanks to Bonita Milligan, Candace Kirby, Ginger Ferris, Caprice Mayhew, Dee Palmer and Anita Webb, and Interim Hospice for their love and care.
