SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hall was born February 26, 1923 in Nara Visa, New Mexico. He graduated from Perryton High School and was especially proud to be on the Perryton Rangers football team, class of 1942. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a Lieutenant Commander. He enjoyed his careers as a farmer and an engineer with Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, retiring after 33 years of service. He married his high school sweetheart, Twila Mae Manning, on December 19, 1975 in Purcell, Oklahoma. After he retired, they traveled extensively. Jim enjoyed camping, round and square dancing and spending time with his family. He was a gentle and fun loving man, and will be greatly missed.SURVIVORS: his wife: Twila Hall of the home; a daughter: Deborah Hall of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 2 stepdaughters: Drenda Weinrich of Harlingen and Kathy Chancellor and husband Jerry of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 2 granddaughters: Jami Veenstra and husband Steve of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Bethany Blue of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a grandson: Casey Kehr and wife Sue of Bertrand, Nebraska; 4 great-grandsons: Hayden Blue-Hicks and Harrison Blue-Hicks, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jaden Veenstra of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and J. C. Kehr of Bertrand, Nebraska; 1 great-granddaughter: Cassandra Bruha of Bertrand, Nebraska; many cousins, nieces and nephews; special relatives and friends: Mary Hummer and Martha Hall, both of Amarillo, and Earl and Loretta Bridwell of Pampa, and many others. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and first wife: Zelotta Marie.
