SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012, at First Christian Church, with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Private burial will follow in Erick, Oklahoma, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hood was born June 30, 1930 in Erick, Oklahoma, graduating from Erick High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma, receiving a degree in Pharmacy in 1952. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1952 and owned and operated Hood Pharmacy for over 40 years. He married Charlene Hill on October 10, 1981 in Pampa. He was very active in various community organizations. He served as a member and president of the Pampa Optimist Youth Club and served as president of the Airport Board. Jack was a member, elder, Sunday school minister and treasurer of First Christian Church. He would head the Biscuit ministry on Saturday mornings at the church for widows and widowers. He was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF&AM. Jack will be remembered for his sincere generosity. SURVIVORS: his wife: Charlene Hood of the home; a stepson: Carl Hill of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; a sister: Delia Benton and husband Bob of Denton; a brother: Dr. W. E. Hood and wife Sally of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 grandson: J. T. Hood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 4 granddaughters: Selina Fresanock and husband Stephen of Chicago, Illinois, Danielle Hood of Fort Worth, Jessica Hill of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Lee Bailey and husband Will of North Carolina. Jack was preceded in death by his parents: William E. and Oklahoma Cargill Hood; and 2 sons: Jim Hood and Dan Hood.MEMORIALS: Michael J.
