SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Briarwood Church with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery with military honors courtesy of U.S Air Force, Altus, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Thompson finished his journey and went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, July 08, 2012 in his home. Don was born September 17, 1928 in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Don married Lois Guinn on March 9, 1951 in Waurika, Oklahoma. He has been a resident of Pampa since 1961. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany at the end of WWII and he later reenlisted into the U.S. Air Force serving at Sheppard Air Base in Wichita Falls. Don owned and operated Eagle Radiator Shop for 25 years retiring in 1993. He was a longtime member and deacon of the First Assembly of God Church.SURVIVORS: Wife: Lois Thompson of the home; 1 son: Kelly Thompson and wife Michelle of Allen; 2 daughters: Becky Hopper of Pampa and Karen Hannah and husband Adrian of Tucson, Arizona; 8 grandchildren: Corey Sublett of Houston, Ginny Elliff of Pampa, Jill Henkel of Tucson, Arizona, Crystal Mendoza of Sayre, Oklahoma, Ashley Parker of Battle Ground, Washington, Ben Hannah of Dallas Port, Washington, Jessica Thompson and Emily Thompson both of Allen; and 9 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Jean Peterson of Viroqua, Wisconsin, Janice Skrede of Sandy, Utah, Bernie Campbell of Sauk City, Wisconsin and Jerri Kellicut of La Crosse, Wisconsin; 2 sisters-in-law: Pauline Phillips of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Marion Thompson Hauthorn of Tacoma, Washington; 1 brother-in-law: Bob Cole of Waurika, Oklahoma. Don was preceded in death by 1 brother: Dwaine Thompson, 1 sister: Joyce Bolt; his mother: Edna Thompson Hulsether; his father: Leonard Thompson.
