SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. C. W. Parker, Odyssey Hospice chaplain, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. McDowell was born January 24, 1943 in Electra. He graduated from McLean High School as valedictorian for his class. He had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. Jackie was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He attended Hi-Land Christian Church. He was an amateur radio operator, with the call sign WB5LRK. He loved playing music and electronics. Jackie worked for John King & Sons for over 40 years.SURVIVORS: 2 sisters: Bertie Endlsy of Houston and Odessa M. East of Pampa; 3 nephews: John East of Pampa, Edwin East of North Dallas, and James McDonald of Greenwood; a niece: Marcia Stubbs of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Mittie McDowell.
