SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Nick Matthews, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Wuest was born December 21, 1929 in Corpus Christi, and graduated from high school in Corpus Christi. She married Gilbert Wuest on September 19, 1959 in Corpus Christi. They moved to Pampa in 1972 where they managed Harvester Lanes for 7 years, making many friends. She later worked for Furr's Supermarket for 15 years and then worked at Albertson's, retiring after 4 years of service. Her friends thought she was a very strong woman and a lot of fun. She was a good woman, wife and wonderful mother who always helped and cared for others. She was a Methodist. SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Andrew Leal and wife Sylvia of Corpus Christi, Richard Wuest and Charles Wuest and his son Anson, all of Austin; 3 additional grandsons: Michael Leal, Victor Leal and Andy Leal, all of Corpus Christi; 3 granddaughters: Elizabeth Flores, Lisa Leal and Dora Leal, all of Corpus Christi; 5 great-grandsons: Jacob Flores, Michael Leal, Andrew Riley Leal, Andrew Leal and Arnold Leal, all of Corpus Christi; 3 great-granddaughters: Brenda Flores, Linzee Leal and Andrea Leal, all of Corpus Christi. She was preceded in death by her parents; Simon and Corrine Garza; her husband: Gilbert Wuest; and a son: Arnold Leal.
