BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lemons was born January 5, 1917 in Alma, Arkansas to James McKinley Parker and Geneva Edna Parker. She graduated from Jacksonville, Texas High School in 1936, and from Draughon's Business College in Dallas in 1937. She met Wyatt in business college in 1937 and they were married on June 14, 1940 in Dallas. They moved to Pampa in 1946 after Wyatt returned from serving his country in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Pampa was their city of residence for sixty years before moving to Lakeway to be closer to their family. While in Pampa, Velma was an active member at the First United Methodist Church and the Winsome Fellowship Sunday school class since joining in 1946. She was active in Pampa Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star, Cub Scouts, sewing, painting and many other activities. She strived for excellence in all of those activities. She is survived by her husband, Wyatt Lemons of the home; a son: Kenneth Lemons and wife Christine of Lakeway; a grandson: Jason Lemons and wife Laura, and their son James of Richardson; a granddaughter: Jessica Reynolds and husband Kevin and their children Julianne, Hunter and Gianna of Lakeway; and a grandson: Jeffrey Lemons of Austin; a brother: Bobby Parker and wife Jerrye of Dallas; 2 sisters: Marian Miller of Richardson, Lucille Chambers and husband Kenneth of Grand Prairie, and sister-in-law: Ruth Parker of Austin. Velma lost her oldest son, Jerry Wayne Lemons, in an accident in 1982, and is also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Paul Parker, Harrold Parker and Kirksey Parker; 2 sisters-in-law: Margaret Parker and Dorrace Parker; and brother-in-law: Gregg Miller.MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O.
