He married Rosa Venegas on October 11, 1969 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1992. Jose worked in construction and was a member of Canaan Christian Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening.SURVIVORS: wife: Rosa Cervantes of the home; a daughter: Rosa Cervantes of Pampa; 2 sons: Jose Cervantes and wife Carmen of Pampa, and Julio Cervantes and wife Brissa of Borger; 4 granddaughters: Margarita and husband Juan Tovar, Lizeth Mejia and Samantha Rivera, all of Pampa, and Bethany Grace Cervantes of Borger; 8 grandsons: Luis Raul Ramos, Adrian Ramos, Samuel Cervantes, Gabriel Cervantes, Pedro Angel Mejia, Andres Cervantes, all of Pampa, and Rogelio Cervantes and Caleb Cervantes, both of Borger. Jose was preceded in death by his parents: Ricardo and Celia Cervantes; a sister: Concepcion Cervantes; and 2 brothers: Modesto Cervantes and Jorge Cervantes.
