BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Danner was born November 18, 1933 in McLean to George and Nellie Keeton, and had been a resident of Pampa since 1942. She was a 1952 graduate of Pampa High School. She married Darrell Lee Danner, Sr., on September 27, 1953 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1993. Helen worked in the oil and gas industry for 40 years, retiring from the Texas Railroad Commission in 1981. She then started her own oil and gas consulting company. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi for several years, serving as chapter sweetheart. Her favorite pastimes were watching the Texas Rangers, her grandchildren playing sports, watching old movies and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Terry Danner; 2 sisters: Violet Bowers and Letha Miles; a brother: J. R. Keeton; and a great-granddaughter: Saylor Kayte Danner. SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Darrell Danner, Jr., and wife Dixie and Monty Danner and wife Tammy, all of Pampa; a daughter: Tammy Hill and husband Tim of Pampa; a brother: Doyle Keeton of Pampa; 9 grandchildren: Holly Welch and husband Keith of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jamie Botello and husband Robert, Candace Wood and husband Jason, Brandon Hill and wife Valerie, Schuyler Danner, and Braden Danner, all of Pampa, Casey Danner and wife Layci, Chelsea Danner and Jordan Danner, all of Amarillo; 18 great-grandchildren; and her favorite dog: "Gigi."
