Gary Gene Herr

SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 19, 2012, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, with Rev. Linda Kelly, rector, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Gary was born July 23, 1938 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He moved to Pampa in 1989 to co-found Progressive Sales. He formed Hi Plains Measurement Co. in 2001. He married Ruth Robinson in 1957 and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was a longtime member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church as well as the Moose Lodge #1385. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his wife Marlene with all of his heart. SURVIVORS: wife: Marlene Herr of the home; 2 sons: Patrick Herr and Lance Herr of Pampa; 4 grandchildren; Josh Herr and wife Kandice, Hannah Ball and Leslie Ball all of Pampa, and Kris Madrid of Austin; 1 sister: Donna Winborn of Midland; and daughter-in-law: Bhe Herr of Austin.
