Albert Maggard, pastor of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Swan was born September 25, 1928 in Crowell, Texas to Luther and Olive Denton, and was a 1945 graduate of Crowell High School. She married Hardy L. Swan, Jr., on April 8, 1948 in Vernon. They came to Pampa in 1968 from Ellinwood, Kansas. Mr. Swan preceded her in death on January 26, 1974. She was an LVN and worked at Highland General Hospital and worked for Dr. Joe Donaldson for 18 years, retiring in 1988. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law: Raymond Ryder in 2001; and by a sister: Kaye Denton.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Sherry Hahn and husband Will of Pampa; and Vicki Ryder and Juan Rodriguez of Amarillo; a son: Joe Steven Swan and wife Karan of Pampa; 2 brothers: Garland Denton and wife Ann of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and James Denton and wife Gwynne of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 3 grandchildren: Brady Hahn and Andrea Valusek, and Sara Peters and husband Brodie, all of Pampa, and Shelley Sellers and husband Keith of Amarillo; 2 great-grandchildren: Dasen Sellers and Kaden Sellers, both of Amarillo; extended family: Scott and Kimberly Guthrie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jennifer Guthrie, and Jesse and Tristan Valusek, all of Pampa.The family would like to express their gratitude to Connie Pulley and staff at Hospice Care of the Southwest for the loving care of their mother.MEMORIALS: Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S.
