SERVICES: 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Dallas Stringer, pastor, and Rev. Richard Bartel, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Applegate was born April 12, 1956 in Paris, Texas. He married Debbie Snyder on August 12, 1977 in Slaton. He had been a resident of Pampa since 2004. Kenneth worked for Newpark Drilling Fluids. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, and puttering around in his shed. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: wife: Debbie Applegate of the home; 2 sons: Kenneth Wayne Applegate of North Carolina, and Jason Wayne Applegate and wife Monica of Pampa; a daughter: Christie Applegate of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren: Jessica Applegate, Ashley Mattox, Ryan Mattox, Rebecca Marie Ellis Applegate, Piper Kayle Lambombard, Jason Wayne Applegate, Jr., and Emma Mae Applegate, all of Pampa, and Bryan Ashton Mattox of Slaton; 1 great-grandson: Mathew Artimas Tyler of Pampa; 4 brothers: Billy Ray Applegate and Chris Calvin Applegate, both of Littlefield, Maynard G. Applegate of Pampa, and Rudy Van Applegate of Amarillo; 7 sisters: Frances Holbert of Balch Springs, Edna Mae Fox, Judy Ann Brown and Katie Melba Holmes, all of Amarillo, Margaret Louise Scott of Hereford, Helen Marie Clare of Coleman, and Gladys Faye Walker of Ringland, Oklahoma. Kenneth was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Billy Jack Applegate and Gayland Lee Applegate; a sister: Linda Lou Applegate; and a granddaughter: Brittany Kaylyn Mattox.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will be at 1213 Darby in Pampa.MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065.
