Johnny Robertson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Borger, officiating.BURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Russell was born August 9, 1919 in Miami where he was a 1937 graduate of Miami High School. Franklin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. Franklin married Iona May Cell on January 17, 1942. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2005. Franklin has been a resident of Amarillo since 2005 moving from Borger. He was a services technician for Monroe Calculating Machine Co. for 36 years retiring in 1984. Franklin was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Borger. He loved camping and fishing. Franklin was a loving husband, father and was dedicated to his family.SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Paul Russell and wife Odessa of Amarillo, David Russell and wife Matilda of Lubbock and Don Russell and wife Kay of Borger; 1 daughter: Benona Love of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents: W.O. and Maggie Russell; a son-in-law: Richard Love; a grandson: Slade Russell; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
