SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of CrossPointe Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Downs was born July 2, 1945 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She lived in Hutchinson County most of her life, moving to Pampa in 2007. She married Winford Downs on February 22, 1968. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1997. She attended CrossPointe Church. She was a devoted mother and a loving "Mamaw." SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Robert Rigo & wife Celena of Cheney, Washington, Daniel Rigo of Amarillo, and Shane Downs and wife Stephanie of Pampa; a daughter: Deanna Watson and husband Brett of Pampa; 2 sisters: Geneva Johnston and husband O. B. of Conchas Dam, New Mexico, and Peggy Hall and husband Raye of Pampa; a brother: Nelson Davis and wife Joyce of Hannibal, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Marvin and Bessie Davis; and a step-son: Danny Glenn Downs.MEMORIALS: CrossPointe Church Building Fund, 711 E. Harvester, Pampa, Texas 79065.
