SERVICES: 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Morris was born December 29, 1928 in Chillicothe, Texas to Charlie and Nancy Stewart. She was a graduate of Quanah High School. She married Joe William Morris on July 18, 1945 in El Dorado, Oklahoma, moving to Pampa in 1955. She worked at Highland General Hospital as a nurse's assistant for 10 years, and was secretary at Highland Pentecostal Holiness church for 23; where she also was a founding member. Mrs. Morris was very faithful to her church and love spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the annual family reunions and attending the Bluegrass festival in Mobeetie. SURVIVORS: Husband: Joe William Morris of Pampa. 2 daughters: Shirley Morris of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Sheila Swaney and husband Rick of Carrolton. 3 sons: Tom Morris and wife Barbara of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joe Morris and wife Patsy of Pampa, and Robert Morris and wife Cara of Amarillo. 1 sister: Virginia Clay and husband Jim of Graham; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Mrs.Morris was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers: Cecil, Austin, Dean, Robert, and Charlie Ray. 4 sisters: Betty, Ruby, Dorothy, and Martha. 2 grandchildren: Jeremy Morris and Sheri Popejoy. 2 daughter-in-laws: Sandra Morris and Marilyn Morris. MEMORIALS: Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship Church, 1733 N. Banks, Pampa, Texas 79065, or Favorite Charity.
