SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2012, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Baird was born December 12, 1924 in Van Alstyne. She married James Baird on September 10, 1943 at the Pampa Army Base. She was employed by Gray County Soil Conservation District for 10 years. Beadie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church. She and James were the recipients of the "7 Who Care" award in 1991. She enjoyed sewing, was very artistic, and enjoyed spending time in her garden. She was a very strong Christian and enjoyed teaching others about Jesus.SURVIVORS: her husband: James Baird of the home; a daughter: Loretta Robinson and husband Kelly of Wimberly; 3 grandchildren: Kelly Michelle Robinson of Wimberly, Stephen Baird Robinson of Austin and Sonja Yvette Hanna of Katy; 2 great-grandchildren: Victoria Jewel Robinson of Wimberly and Baden James Hanna of Katy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Beadie was preceded in death by her parents: William and Jewell Judkins; a daughter: Joretta Baird on June 1, 1981; and 2 sisters: Evelyn Epps on June 15, 2008 and Doris Smith on June 31, 2008.MEMORIALS: The League House, 7000 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
