SERVICES: Vigil will be at 5:30 Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Arockia Raj, associate pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating, and funeral mass will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2012, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Villarreal was born January 11, 1926 in Corsicana, Texas. He lived in Robstown until 1959 when he moved to Pampa. He was a World War II veteran, serving until 1945. Ha married Consuelo Ybarra on August 26, 1946 in Robstown. Together they had 10 children and were married for 64 years. Mr. Villarreal worked for Arthur Brothers and Emmett Lefors until his retirement. He was a member of the Hispanos Unidos of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He was a people person. He enjoyed his Dr. Peppers and Snickers. He liked going for walks at night, fishing, playing the guitar, singing, reciting poems for his wife, working on cars and visiting with his family. The Villarreal family was recognized by The Smithsonian on their 50th wedding anniversary for their large family, years of marriage and family values.SURVIVORS: 6 daughters: Luzecida Allen and husband Don of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Maria De Los Santos, Irma Estela Neiman and husband Tom, Rachel Villarreal and Ermelinda Fernandez and husband Richard, all of Pampa, and Cruz B. Villarreal of Weatherford, Texas; 4 sons: Richard Villarreal and wife Elidia, Gilbert Villarreal and wife Ernestina, Roy Villarreal and wife Mary, and Arthur Villarreal and wife Melissa, all of Pampa; 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Antonio and Adelina Villarreal; his wife: Consuelo Villarreal, 2 sisters: Juanita Martinez and Corina Ponce; a brother: Ismael Villarreal 4 grandchildren: Christina Ann Shorter, Marcos Victor Villarreal, Migel Shorter and Rick Villarreal; and a great-grandchild: Bethany Nicole Caviness.MEMORIALS: Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
