BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Winborne was born April 26, 1936 in Dumas. She came to Pampa in 1938 from Sunray, graduating from Pampa High School in 1954. Shirley married James Thomas "Speck" Winborne on June 19, 1953 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of First Christian Church where she served as director of membership for 37 years, and was elected "Elder Emeritus." She served on the Genesis House board, was on the original board and founding officers of Hospice of the Panhandle, was awarded the Beta Sigma Phi Woman of the Year in 1990, and served as hospital chaplain at Pampa Regional Medical Center for many years. Shirley was secretary of the Pampa Ministerial Alliance for over 6 years, was a member of the Knife & Fork Club, the Pampa High School Band Boosters, and the Pampa Boat and Ski Club.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Gaylene Bradley and husband James, and Jamie White and husband Scott, all of Pampa; a son: Tommy Winborne and wife Jamie of Pampa; a sister: Carla Blair and husband Kenneth of Carlsbad, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren: Amy Ladd and husband Aaron and Abby Foster and husband Lincoln, all of Keller, Morgan Baldridge and husband Blake of Amarillo, Britton White and wife Megan, Natalie Winborne and Jaycee Winborne, all of Pampa; 3 great-grandchildren: Rhett Ladd and Grant Ladd, both of Keller, and Sailor Baldridge of Amarillo.
