SERVICES: 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Pampa, with Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of Field Street Baptist Church of Cleburne, Rev. Jeff Messer of Southlawn Baptist Church of Amarillo, and Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery of Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Carlson was born December 9, 1921 in Desdemona to John and Susie Leverett. She married Milo Carlson on April 2, 1939 in the First Baptist Church of Pampa. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2005. Pauline was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church since the mid-1930's where she taught children's Sunday school for 30 years, where she imprinted the hearts, minds and back-sides of many children. She was a member of the Pampa Garden Club, the 20th Century Culture Club, and she was the first lady of Pampa during Milo's two terms as mayor of Pampa in the early 1970's, and she and Milo ministered to the Pampa Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed gardening. Pauline performed a service to the community by preparing and delivering food to family, friends and shut-ins. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.SURVIVORS: 4 sons: Jerry E. Carlson and wife Sherry of Pampa, John H. Carlson and wife Sue of Lindale, Jack D. Carlson and wife Karen of Houston, and Gene R. Carlson and wife Cindy of Enid, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren: Chris Carlson, Kevin Carlson and Kathi Bagley, all of Pampa, Kerri Forester of Henderson, Amy Hendricks of Tyler, Neal Carlson of Houston, Jeanette Hawkins of Nevada, Missouri, Scott Carlson of Taos, New Mexico, and Keeley Carlson of College Station; and 16 great-grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her father: John W. Leverett; her mother: Susie Leverett Miller; her stepfather: Harry Miller; and a brother: Jim Leverett.MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church Children's Ministry, P.O.
