Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Oliver was born April 8, 1944 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1962. After graduation, he moved to Colorado where he worked for Climax Mining in Leadville, and he later had a daughter, Kim Rivera. He resided in Colorado until 2007 when moved to Pampa. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Korea during the Vietnam War. He married Suzanne Buck on October 2, 1976 in Pampa, and they had 2 sons, Corey and Bryan. Michael was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and camp. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: his wife: Suzanne Oliver of the home; 2 sons: Corey Oliver and wife Marianne of El Paso, and Bryan Oliver and wife Jasmine of Amarillo; his daughter: Kim Rivera of Englewood, Colorado; 7 grandchildren: Kiara Oliver and Magnus Oliver, both of Amarillo, Emma Phillips and Owen Phillips, both of El Paso, Spencer Rivera, Hannah Rivera and Riley "Goose" Rivera, all of Englewood, Colorado; a brother: Gary Oliver of Aztec, New Mexico; his father-in-law: Bryan Buck of Pampa brother-in-law: Mike Buck and wife Shirley of Pampa; and a sister-in-law: Becky Buck of Amarillo.
