SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at the CARC Farm in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Graveside services will be at 12:30 PM, Monday, Nov. 28, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Michael Kent "Mikey" Postma was born July 10, 1953 in Lubbock to loving parents, Lorene and Wilmer "Bill" Postma. He was afflicted with Down's Syndrome at birth, but despite this disability, he was able to live a long and happy life due to the nurturing family environment provided by his parents and extended family. As the family moved around with Bill's career as a professional Boy Scout executive, Michael lived in Lubbock, Spokane, Washington, Whittier, California, Pampa, Texas, and for the last twenty years, he lived at the CARC Farm and Washington Ranch in Carlsbad, New Mexico. When living in Pampa, Michael was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.SURVIVORS: 3 cousins: Gary Frashier and wife Giva of Boerne, David Frashier of San Antonio, and Rosemary Watkins of Dallas.
