Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Shipman was born March 29, 1919 in Tigertown, Texas. He graduated from Lefors High School in 1939. Troy married Juanita Smith on December 21, 1941 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Troy had been a Gray County resident since 1946. He retired from Texaco Oil and Gas in 1981 after 34 years of service. Troy was a member of the Lefors United Methodist Church, Miami American Legion Post and the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department.SURVIVORS: Wife: Juanita Shipman of the home; 2 daughters: Donna Daugherty and husband Dan of Pampa and Rhonda Maag and husband Mike of Wichita Falls; a son: Gene Shipman and wife Jan of Stephenville; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a sister: Inez Boso of San Diego, California; 2 brothers: Jimmy Shipman of Phoenix, Arizona and Ralph Shipman of Lemon Grove, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, T. H. and Frances, a brother, Jack, and 2 sisters, Martha and Bonnie Joy.MEMORIALS: Miami American Legion Post, P. O.
