She had been a resident of Pampa since 1945. She married Robert L. Powell on September 25, 1945 in Wheeler. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1987. Juanita was a bookkeeper for Pampa Tent & Awning for 18 years, retiring in 1979. She was a charter member of Barrett Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: daughter: Phyllis Sparks and husband Roy of Denison; 2 grandsons: Tim Sparks and wife Charity of Denison, and Dr. Michael Sparks and wife Dr. Garen Sparks of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 2 great-grandchildren: Nicholas Sparks and Addison Sparks, both of Denison; 2 brothers: Bill Alexander of Franklin, Tennessee, and Carl Alexander of Calhan, Colorado; 2 sisters: Edna Tosh of Pampa, and Ann Moyer of Paradise.
