M. and Cecil (Kieth) Patton. Virginia married Harry F. McDonald, Jr., on June 23, 1939, in Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2002, after sixty three years of marriage. They were Pampa residents all these years with the exception of three-and-a half years in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and the past eight years in Mesquite, under the loving care of the staff at the Christian Care Center. Virginia was employed by Lottie Schneider at the Schneider Hotel cigar stand in 1932. She later became manager of the Postal Telegraph. She was also bookkeeper and credit manager for Bentley's Ladies Shop and for Gilbert's Ready to Wear. She also worked as a volunteer for the Pampa Girl Scouts as Leader of Troop 14 and served as Director of Day Camp. She was Council Assistant for the Girl Scouts association. Her last employment was as five-star executive distributor for Hilcoa and Hillestad Pharmaceuticals for 32-plus years.Virginia served as President of the Pampa Credit Women's Club and the Pampa Credit Executives and as Credit Executive Director. She was elected President of the Pampa Business & Professional Women's Club five times. She also served as District Nine Director of the Texas State B&PW Club, Inc. for two terms. She was elected State Secretary for the Texas B&PW Club, Inc and served as President of the Top O' Texas Republican Women's Club. She was an active member of the First Christian Church since her teenage years. She was a member of the Aquilla & Priscilla Sunday School class, CWF, Rambo Missionary Group and was elected Worship and Outreach Chairman. She also was Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant teacher, Church Treasurer and Deacon.SURVIVORS: her daughters: Gayle Casey and husband Mike of Hockley, and Linda Borden of Dallas; 5 grandchildren: Patrick, Chris, Jessica, Mike and Chris, and 2 great-grandchildren: Stefanie and Ryan; 2 nieces: Bonnie Ottolene Jones and husband Ray of Pampa, and Pat Stuckey Hall of Kaufman; 2 nephews, Schuyler Stuckey and wife, Phyllis, of Frisco, and John Stafford of Louisiana. She is preceded in death by a brother: Otto Patton; and 3 sisters: Bonnie Stuckey, Mary Brown and Zelda Stafford. MEMORIALS: First Christian Church, 1633 N.
