SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Captain Mark Martin of the Salvation Army, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Turner was born September 5, 1931 in Kingston, Oklahoma. She married Marvin Turner on February 4, 1950 in Sherman. He preceded her on April 6, 1981. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. She worked for the Pampa Country Club as a bartender for 27 years, retiring in 1994. Margie was a member of the Salvation Army. She was known by everyone as "Maw" and she was loved by all.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Toney Turner and Charles Turner, both of Pampa; 4 daughters: Opal Whittley, Sue Reynolds and Sheri Tice and husband Randell, all of Pampa, and Carol Brown and husband Steve of Clinton, Oklahoma; 6 sisters: Mary Counts of Pampa, Dorothy Morrison of Madill, Oklahoma, Dora Nabors and Joyce Matney of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Mae Biggs and Margaret Fountain, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, son-in-law, grandson and great-granddaughter.
