Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: He was born August 27, 1947 in Clayton, New Mexico. As a young boy, his family moved to Dalhart where he attended school. Mr. Griego served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, he returned to Dalhart where he married Jeanette Cordova on August 24, 1968. Later he moved to Guymon where he worked for the Swift plant for several years. Eventually he would move to Pampa in 1975 working for Ford's Auto body for 5 years, before working for UPS for 26 years when he retired. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. His passion was drag racing. Above all he was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Paul Griego; 2 sisters: Georgia Portillos and Delia Mireles; and his parents; Pablo and Fedalina Griego.SURVIVORS: wife: Jeanette Griego of the home; 1 daughter: Annette Griego of Pampa; 1 1 Son: Gabriel John Griego, Jr. and wife DeDe of Plainview; 4 grandsons: Zane Michael Griego, Kyle Lee Griego, Trae Donovan Griego, and Dice Alan Griego, 1 granddaughter: Calie Elizabeth Griego; 1 great granddaughter: Cadence Griego; 1 great grandson: Zaiden Griego; 3 brothers: Lee Griego and wife Mary Louise of Carlsbad, NM, John Griego and wife Dora of Dalhart, and Alfonso Griego and wife Bernice of Tampa, FL. 2 sisters: Mary Gaona and husband Albert and Angie Marez all of Tampa, FL.
