SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. David Troublefield, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Bowman was born December 12, 1951 in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1971. He attended Clarendon College, West Texas State University and Texas State Technical School. Barry had a very eclectic taste in music and art. He enjoyed most genres of music. He enjoyed oil and watercolor painting, sketching as well as photography. Barry was a devoted father and son and spent many hours caring for his parents needs. He was truly a loving, kind and generous man who often thought of others before himself. He will be dearly missed.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Angela Bowman and Chad Epperson of Pampa, and Christine Bowman of Portland, Oregon; his parents: Marvin and Beth Bowman of Pampa; a sister: Linda Bowman Carey and husband Darrell of Canyon; brother: Brian Bowman and wife Shari of Normal, Illinois; 3 grandchildren: Kirstan Epperson of Skellytown, Wyatt Epperson and Brycen Epperson, both of Pampa; aunt: Ann Wall and husband Wayne of Salida,Colorado; and his very dear friend: Rolanda Bowman of Pampa.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
