Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mary was born on May 17, 1921 in Dillard, Oklahoma, the beloved daughter of the late William Henry Drake and Bessie Sisco Drake. She had been a resident of Pampa for the past 49 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ and supported God's Learning Channel. Mary loved rummage sales, she liked to garden, and she appeared in the local newspaper for growing the only lemon tree in Pampa.Mary will be remembered for her loving, fun nature, her strong faith in our Lord, her generosity and her fun ditty songs and poems. She loved children, animals, vegetables and flowers and would always remind you of God's love and generosity in giving them. She is survived by her adored and caring daughter: Metha Jowanna Ward of the home; 2 sisters: Essie Aldridge of Velma, Oklahoma and Frankie Reba Jennings of Amarillo; and a brother: Victor L. Drake of Amarillo. She will be lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews all over the country. Mary was preceded in death by her parents: William Henry and Bessie Sisco Drake; her beloved son: Ira Dean Ward; 2 sisters: Geneva Sherwood Drake and Dortha Savannah Gray; and a brother: Clarence Sydney Drake.MEMORIALS: Southside Church of Christ, 11923 W. McCullough Street, Pampa, Texas 79065. They have provided meals to families for many years.
