S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Johnson was born September 25, 1925 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He attended schools in Comanche and Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, joining in 1943 and serving in Korea, Germany, France and Japan during World War II. He married Mary Jean Meador on June 29, 1953 in Lebanon, Missouri. Sarge retired from the Army in 1965 and went to work for Cabot and IRI, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Pulaski Post #106 in Miami. He was a loving husband and father and was a very fun loving person.SURVIVORS: his wife: Mary Jean Johnson of the home; 2 daughters: Paula Jean Ruddick and husband Randy of Thornton, Colorado, and Jan Rosier and husband Mike of Flower Mound; a son: John Andrew Johnson, II and wife Judy of Springtown; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his sidekick: "Lil' Coot." Sarge was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Billy Gene Johnson.MEMORIALS: to be made to a favorite charity.
