Richard Bartel, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens CemeteryBIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cox was born Feb. 11, 1934 in Kilgore and had been a resident of Pampa since 1945. She married Billy Joe Cox on Sept. 25, 1953 in Pampa. Merdeith worked for Ideal Food Stores for 29 years. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1952 where she taught Sunday school for many years. She and her husband retired early and enjoyed their summer home in Daisy, Arkansas with their special friends, Red and Ruby Bishop. Merdeith blessed many people with her servant's heart.SURVIVORS: Husband: Billy Joe Cox of the home; 2 daughters: Renee Marak and husband Lynn and Brenda Cox, all of Pampa; 3 grandchildren: Amy Quarles and husband Chad, Casey Knutson and wife Lorrie, and Kallie Marak, all of Pampa; 3 great grandchildren: Bailey Knutson, Nataleigh Knutson, and Marlee Quarles, all of Pampa; 3 nieces: Becky Saltzman and husband Tommy, Debbie Heiser and husband Howard, and Cindy Graef, all of Pampa; a nephew: Mike Taylor and wife Nancy of Yorba Linda, CA; a sister-in-law: Carol Bachus of Amarillo; and a brother-in-law, Myrel Looper of Pampa.
