SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the Salvation Army. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Prater was born September 29, 1935 in Louisiana. She moved to Pampa when she was ten years old. She attended school in Skellytown. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Yatzee and loved to take her family fishing. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.SURVIVORS: son: James Flippo, Jr., of Pampa; sister-in-law: LaVonda Gamage of Fort Worth; 2 sisters: Ella Mae Tucker and Helen Amesworth, both of Louisiana; a brother: Nathan Adams of Louisiana; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Helen Willise; her husband Burley Prater; 2 sisters: Beatrice Papst and Carol Adams.MEMORIALS: Coronado Nursing Home Activity Fund, 1504 W.
