SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lewis was born April 4, 1921 in Salem, Arkansas. Later, her family moved to Wichita, Kansas where she graduated from high school. She married Vernon E. Lewis on May 17, 1940 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2000. Maxine worked as a secretary for Southwestern Public Service, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a Baptist. When her health was good, she enjoyed bowling and fishing. Above all, she loved spending time with her daughter, two grandchildren and her great-grandson. SURVIVORS: her daughter: Sharon Bridges of Edmond, Oklahoma; a grandson: Chad Bridges of Edmond, Oklahoma; a granddaughter: Deena Clifton and husband Rusty of Edmond, Oklahoma; and her great-grandson: Lucas Clifton of Edmond, Oklahoma.
