SERVICES: 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Joyce was born March 24, 1935 in Hymer, Kansas. She was raised in Satana, Kansas where she graduated from high school. She received an associate's degree from Clarendon College. Joyce married Ed McNeely on August 24, 1965 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2011. She was employed by Pantex for 30 years, retiring in 1996. After retirement, she and Ed moved to Lake Greenbelt to their lake house. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa, and she and Ed were charter members of the Community Fellowship Church at Clarendon. Joyce loved spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.SURVIVORS: two daughters: Diane Lindsey and husband Bob of Canyon, and Lisa Gersbach and husband Kris of Brownfield; two sons: Lane McNeely and wife Michelle and Brook McNeely, all of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; four brothers: Richard Brookshire of Ulysses, Kansas, Larry Brookshire of Hoxie, Kansas, Don Brookshire of Frisco, and Terry Brookshire of Pampa.
