SERVICES: Memorial graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Linda Kelly, rector, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church of Pampa, officiating.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Gooding was born June 3, 1958 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was killed in an automobile accident near his home. Carter graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and The Culinary Institute in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was a member of the American Culinary Federation since 1986, and served as vice president and president of the Blue Ridge Chef's Association of the ACP. He was named Chef of the Year in 1999. SURVIVORS: his son: William Carter Gooding of Charlottesville, Virginia; his father: Dr. Ronald S. Gooding of Lincoln, Nebraska; his mother and stepfather: Phebe Carter Hethcock and the Rev. William H. Hethcock of Sewanee, Tennessee; and his sister: Mary Ellen Gooding Nelson of Sewanee, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles Patrick Gooding and Christopher Casey Gooding; and his grandparents: Frank and Pebble Carter of Pampa.MEMORIALS: St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 727 W.
