SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2011, at St. Mark CME Church, with Presiding Elder Andrew Nance of the Lubbock and Midland District, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2011, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Elder McKeever was born December 9, 1934 in Bryan to Mary Lee Perry and Raymond McKever, Sr. He began his ministry in Lubbock in 1962 under Monroe Woods, and he had ministered throughout the Northwest Region. He had been a resident of Pampa for the past eleven years where he served as presiding elder and pastor of St. Mark CME Church. Raymond enjoyed working with his hands, being around people, and cooking.SURVIVORS: daughter: DeAnnettia Holt-White of Rowlett; 3 sons: Raymond L. McKever of Dallas, and Earl Ray Woods and Curtis Woods, both of Bryan; 5 grandchildren: Jonathan Mitchell, LeDariene McKever, Roman Holt, Kristan Holt and Kortlin Holt; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; special friends: Presiding Elder Andrew Nance, Cynthia Lemons and Timothy Dwight Hobart, II.
