SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Ave. Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating. BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Fletcher was born May 17, 1927 in Granite, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1948. He married Louise Goodman on July 7, 1948 in Wellington. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2005. He worked for Northern Natural Gas as a measurement technician for 36 years, retiring on January 1, 1986. Ernest was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was the first manager of the Glo-Valve Optimist Baseball team and a former scout master. SURVIVORS: son: Mark Fletcher and wife Rhonda of Amarillo; a brother: Donald Fletcher of Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Claudine Carlos of Pampa and Delsi Grider of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 2 grandsons: Bradley Fletcher and wife Jamie and Jarrett Fletcher and wife Alyssa, all of Amarillo; 3 great-grandchildren: Michael Fletcher, Emalee Fletcher and Gracelyn Fletcher, all of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
