SERVICES: 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, with military honors courtesy U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Ritter was born August 28, 1934 in Groom. He attended schools in Grandview. He married Fern Canady on August 28, 1955 in Clayton, New Mexico. Lilburn served in the U. S. Army for four years as a mechanic and the colonel's driver. He was honorably discharged with the rank of E-4. He was employed by PAN Resources in Borger for 45 years, retiring when he was 66 years of age. Lilburn loved spending time with his grandchildren and he was a loving father and proud grandfather. He enjoyed camping and fishing.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Allen Ritter and Eric Ritter, both of Borger; 3 grandchildren: Kenny Treakle and Zack Ritter, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Isaya Allen Forrest Ritter of Borger; 1 great-grandchild: Seth Treakle of Columbus, Ohio; 4 sisters: Norma Jean Baxter of Grand Prairie, Erma Britten and husband Bud of White Deer, Lilie May Carney and husband Jerry, and Ina Rea Brown and husband Bob, all of Amarillo; 2 close family friends: Fern Ritter of Pampa and Bertha Zapata of Borger; and several nieces and nephews.
