Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Poland was born November 6, 1924 in Jenks, Oklahoma. She graduated from high school in Bowlegs, Oklahoma and later attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She met Lewis Yale Poland, Sr., in 1942 at East Central University, and they married on July 8, 1944. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1999. She had been a resident of White Deer since 1989. Irene was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Deer. She enjoyed traveling and crappie fishing. She loved spending time with her family.SURVIVORS: daughter: Nan Butler and husband Alfred of Clinton, Pennsylvania; son: Yale Poland and wife Becky of White Deer; 6 grandchildren: Traci Ann Weller and husband Todd of New Galilee, Pennsylvania, Becky Sue Clarkson and husband Robert of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, Joshua Wade Butler and wife Erin of Clinton, Pennsylvania, Beth Ann Mize and husband Chris of Canyon, Shannon M. Lang and husband Wes of Amarillo, and Timothy Poland of White Deer; 7 great-grandchildren: Brooke, Emily, Madison, Ethan, Aurora, Jaden and Brier; brother: Owen Lee Stone of Sheridan, Wyoming .
