Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Rhoades was born April 9, 1929 in Perryton. He had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He married Norma Strasbaugh in 1949 in Alva, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Dusty was involved in the rodeo, ranching and cattle all of his adult life. He was a member of Briarwood Church. His family was most important to him. Dusty enjoyed fishing and anything that had to do with ranching.SURVIVORS: wife: Norma Rhoades of the home; 2 daughters: Brenda Miller and husband Walt, and Patsy Morris and husband Joe, all of Pampa; a son: Jerry Rhoades and wife Suzy of Pampa; 8 grandchildren: Dustin Miller and wife Dori, Lindsay Kotara and husband Jarrett, and Tyler Rhoades, all of Pampa, Selena Stout and husband Bryan of Stinnett, Jerren Miller and wife Bri of Canyon, Cory Morris and wife Talana of Forney, Mandy Phillips and husband Kendall and Bill Townsley and wife Amy, all of Dallas; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Carol Dechant and husband Don of Cheney, Kansas, and Betty Wheat of Woodward, Oklahoma; a brother: Jack Rhoades and wife Gail of Canyon; and special friends: Bob Lindsey, and Buster and Virginia Grayson, all of Pampa.
