Arthur Love

November 12, 1935 — January 15, 2011

SERVICES: A memorial service and reception will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Hampton Inn in Pampa, with Michael Breedlove, officiating. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Love was born in Wellington, Texas on November 12, 1935 to Hassie and Buck Love; he spent most of his childhood and life in Pampa, Texas. He was a graduate of Pampa High School in 1954. His career in the grocery business started as a sacker/stocker with Buddy's Supermarket and later was a manager for them when they moved into their new location. Lynn served his country in the Marine Corps from 1955 - 1962. He opened the ShopRite/Piggly Wiggly in the Coronado Shopping Center and managed the store for several years before moving on to Houston; continuing on with Foodland grocery stores, Wil-Mart convenience stores and ending with Toot-N-Totum in Amarillo. On his retirement he and his loving wife moved to Katy where he was loved by his neighbors and all who knew him. As an avid Boston Red Sox and fanatical Texas Longhorn fan, he spent many hours cheering them on to victory. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa, and their four cats; also his younger brother, Ron of Mesquite. Lynn was an avid animal advocate so in lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to his favorite shelter: Special Pals, 3830 Greenhouse Rd, Houston, TX 77084 www.specialpalsshelter.org
