SERVICES: 10:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. C. W. Parker, pastor of Harvest Fellowship Church, officiating. BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Jr. was born on December 22, 1933 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma and graduated from Barnsdall High School. He married his high school sweetheart Joy June Rideout on June 22, 1950 in Sedan, Kansas. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2008. He was employed in various positions in the oilfield, moving from Oklahoma to New Mexico and finally ending up in Texas. He held various positions during his employment and ended up being transferred to Pampa in 1977 with Cities Service as an area plant supervisor before transferring to Cabot Corp. In 1981, he and his son Lonnie formed Liquid Recovery System, Inc. (L.R.S.), where he served as president until his retirement in 2000. Jr. was preceded in death by a daughter: Diana Bailey in 2004.SURVIVORS: son: Lonnie Shelton and wife Marilyn of Pampa; his step-mom: Juanita Shelton of Guthrie, Oklahoma; a sister: Karon Wanzer of Fairview, Oklahoma; half-sister: Vicki Land of Guthrie, Oklahoma; son-in-law: John Bailey of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 4 granddaughters: Kilyn James and husband Curtis of Sherman, Michelle Hand and husband Michael of Del City, Oklahoma, Audra Tibboel and husband Kevin of Greenville, and Traci Baize and husband Todd of Telluride, Colorado; a grandson: John Aaron Bailey of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 5 great-grandsons: Brock James, Mason James, Brady Tibboel, Tyler Miller and Zack Miller; and 4 great-granddaughters: Avery Tibboel, Savannah Baize, Paige Tibboel, and Louisa Bailey. His great-grandchildren were a great part of his traveling escapades, along with many other relatives and friends. Jr. was recently seen traveling in his motor home, going on trips from Midland to Oklahoma and Colorado, seeing many family members and friends. MEMORIALS: Salvation Army, 701 S.
