Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Born October 27, 1911 in Desdemona, Texas, Eva Gay Carter was the fourth child of nine children born to Albert E. and Myrtle Ellison. She attended public schools in Lorenzo, Texas. She married Thomas C. "Dick" Carter on March 23, 1929, and they lived in Friona, Texas until 1932 when they moved to Pampa where Dick went to work for Cabot Corp. Pampa was their home for the remainder of their lives.Eva Gay was baptized into Christ at the age of thirteen and was a member of the Church of Christ, worshiping first with the Francis Avenue congregation and later at Mary Ellen and Harvester where she was the longest tenured member. Through the years, she taught children's classes, graded papers for the World Bible School, worked in the benevolence program, and tended the flower beds.Eva Gay was a homemaker with many talents. She was an excellent cook and gardener. She knitted, crocheted, reupholstered, needlepointed, china painted, refinished furniture, restored antique dolls, and tied trout flies. She loved antiques and she and her husband had an antique shop in their home following his retirement. They both loved to fish and said they had fished from the Gulf Coast to Alaska.Throughout her life, Eva Gay had an abiding faith in God and a great love for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, four sisters, and four brothers.SURVIVORS: two daughters: Gaye Nell Fraser and husband Lee of Pampa and Jane Boisvert and husband Bill of Horseshoe Bay; seven grandchildren: Mike Fraser and wife Dottie, David Fraser and wife Lynn; Elizabeth Mince and husband Jay; Katy Boisvert, Suzanne Boisvert, Carter Boisvert, and Matthew Boisvert and wife Melissa; twelve great grandchildren: Sarah Fraser, Andrew Fraser, Thomas Fraser, Carter Fraser, Fraser Mince, William Mince, Viva Gore, Ava Gore, Calo Gore, Nevin Seed, Aidan Boisvert, and Ella Boisvert.MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials be made to High Plains Children's Home, P.
